Appalachian State did everything they needed to do to earn a win against a good Mercer team on Friday – except finish. It’s a tough lesson to learn but one that may actually benefit the Mountaineers down the road. App State is also a good team with lots of future upside, but not so good or developed that anything can be taken for granted. This one hurt, but App has to move on.
