Can Anyone Stop This Guy?

According to a recent USA TODAY readers poll, the city of New Orleans is one of the world's top ten Halloween destinations.. However, the Pelicans are hoping that the Golden State Warriors visit to the Crescent City is far from hospitable. Although the Pels have lost 5 straight to the Warriors, including last year's playoff sweep & this year's season opener, there are still plenty of reasons for hoop fans in the Big Easy to expect a win tonight in the Smoothie King Center....

Auburn Coach Bruce Pearl and players New Williams and Tyler Harris discuss the Tigers' win over Brevard College.

WELCOME BACK TD...THE PELS NEED YOU

The New Orleans Pelicans 2-game West Coast swing to start the NBA season ended with less than stellar results. In Game One vs the Warriors, MVP Steph Curry instantly became a 1st-ballot Hall of Famer. Game Two was even worse...Blazers guard CJ McCollum went from rotation player to an All-Star candidate with his 37-point performance. No Tyreke, no Norris & barely any Jrue left the Pels without any backcourt defense. However, they just brought back a familiar friend who will hopefully change that

Outmanned Pels Drop Season Opener

Going into the New Orleans Pelicans season opener Tuesday night, fans knew the team would already be without 3 starters & two key players off the bench. That's bad enough, but the news got worse as it was announced that All-Star guard Jrue Holiday would also miss the game with his chronic, never-ending leg injury. Even with only 9 players in uniform, & Anthony Davis having one of his worst games as a pro, the team hung tough for a half, but it wasn't enough against the reigning NBA Champions.
