That task has been especially tough in the 2015 class and the gators need to find them. While the big names are still on the recruiting board and being recruited, a new name and maybe a diamond in the rough has appeared.


Intro 2016: DB Patrick Rosette

Scout was able to watch Foster defensive back Patrick Rosette at the Next Level Athlete camp in Greater Houston last weekend. He was working against the receivers like he had a point to prove. And if that point was to show that he is a player to watch going into the spring then mission accomplished.


The Nebraska Hot 5

The Nebraska Top 5 is headlined by future Cornhusker Michael Decker. It is the second consecutive year that the top in-state player is a Husker and an offensive lineman as D.J. Foster snagged the honor last season. Decker is a strong and reliable lineman who could also play a couple of different spots up and down the line. A tremendous run blocker.


The Kansas Hot 10

The Kansas Top 10 is well represented in the trenches and No. 1 on the list is A.J. Harris, a 6-foot-4, 296-pounder from Stilwell (Kan.) Blue Valley. Harris is very strong and often overpowering at the point of attack. He is able to just toss defenders and open up running lanes. Keeps his head on a swivel to find contact around the pile and finishes with aggression.

The Oklahoma Top 25 is now topped by Will Sunderland who overtakes the top spot in a close battle with offensive linemen Josh Wariboko and Jalin Barnett. Sunderland earned his spot on the top of the mountain with a strong showing in-season as well as a standout performance at national and regional events like the Dallas NFTC, The Opening and the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl.

Hardy to transfer

The Florida basketball team is mired in bad play over the last two games and the season is getting to the point where it may be too late to spin out of trouble and correct the issues in time for the NCAA tournament. Also, it is a big visit weekend in Gainesville for football prospects including 5-star DE Byron Cowart (pictured above).

Matt Insell’s team had just lost to Mississippi State in dramatic fashion 64-62 as the Bulldogs played their last game in Tad Smith Coliseum. There’s a new arena – The Pavilion at Ole Miss – that will be open by the time State rolls back into Oxford next season.
